Gerald Sinstadt
World of Sport is a British television sport programme which ran on ITV between 2 January 1965 and 28 September 1985 in competition with the BBCs GrandstandLike Grandstand the programme ran for several hours every Saturday afternoon. Gubba spent 40 seasons as a football commentator overtaking Barry Davies as the third-longest serving football commentator on British television after John Motson and Gerald Sinstadt.

I think the programme was originally just called Football and showed highlights of north west teams. I think Barry Davies hosted at the outset of the new show and was followed as host by Gerald Sinstadt who went on to do it for many years if my memory serves me correctly.
